While I stand here , I am unleashed of all the tensions
inside and outside me.
Life is just the way it is...Happy, Beautiful yet mysterious.
This is Me: My Space , My cup of Soul!Ashwini Vanmalihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07731947917485791875noreply@blogger.comBlogger81125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5269746678417368621.post-67069982076174500592019-09-09T12:20:00.001-04:002019-09-09T12:20:18.087-04:00Shun the Money plant myth!!<p dir="ltr">Let's face it...we live in a country where myths and superstitions are more revered and fondly followed than facts and truths...I have been in a habit since childhood to ignore any superstition and to oppose any superstitions anyone tell me including if told by my parents. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Relying on science and truth rather than " it seems, if you do this.....so and so will happen" has always been my way. </p>
<p dir="ltr">One such blind belief I heard recently - ' If u want money plant cuttings from anyone's plant, you cannot ask for it! Instead you can cut it yourself without them knowing and take it!!'</p>
<p dir="ltr">Just to be clear- The plant is called 'Money plant' for the following reasons-<br>
1) It is a very very very good purifier of air and the water it grows in. Hence is so Soo valuable/precious just like money , that it's good if everyone has it at their place. It is told ' it is good to have no ey plant at home' for this very reason. <br>
2) people call it money plant...so that everyone will assume it is good( namesake) and grow it everywhere because of it purifying property. </p>
<p dir="ltr">So please remove the blind belief that if someone is asking for cuttings, then money from your home will become less. If that's the matter then we can surely distribute money plants to all poor people. </p>
<p dir="ltr">So kindly shun the superstitions and always question " if you do this, this will happen statements! " Enlighten everyone around you with the truth...<br><br></p>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Achooo....Achoo.....Chooooooooo......</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Oops Sorry for that.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Oh No, its not the runny nose bcoz of the current bangalore weather. It's just that I was dusting the long unused space here in my blog which gave me the sneeze :)Too many cobwebs here!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Home is where the Heart is! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Whats more fun than celebrating Diwali at home. The lights, the food, the laughter, the decorations, the people around, the family..it's the spirit and love that's enchanting about this festival.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This diwali I tried making a lantern at home. I used things lying around at home. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thermocol, crepe sheets, fancy silver sheets, stationary such as glue, scissors etc.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
How I Made them are explained in the pictures below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I had saved the thermocols from a package earlier and I now used them </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
as a top hanger.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDuUdN51lTxeryKZ2x-0qsIsCVm4K5tdAhuWD8b_k_IHt3kDSjY4g5cPin7wsKkp_v_xpWiaOPv1BPbqXit8qx_y8U48BdsAtp6_2aV4SD2sYHT1iFFVCVbxcs2JruRnN2sHUnYQsgeiU/s1600/IMG_3778.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDuUdN51lTxeryKZ2x-0qsIsCVm4K5tdAhuWD8b_k_IHt3kDSjY4g5cPin7wsKkp_v_xpWiaOPv1BPbqXit8qx_y8U48BdsAtp6_2aV4SD2sYHT1iFFVCVbxcs2JruRnN2sHUnYQsgeiU/s640/IMG_3778.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then made holes 4 sides and run a string through </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
it to use it as a hanger . Also a big hole is made in the centre to suspend lights inside.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifhWMDnIPZ8uyoZCvb3bEqOlhX53EGg23AdxK75vXEecM-TJ0ojtrnSybsCVfYgsuqRyFJk1qrEny_yXbzK7gtlFAwb9VWz7U1hBYzqpjs_zpEwJRwEkxcUK1-jLWkOgrnC5LHRZC75-Y/s1600/IMG_3779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifhWMDnIPZ8uyoZCvb3bEqOlhX53EGg23AdxK75vXEecM-TJ0ojtrnSybsCVfYgsuqRyFJk1qrEny_yXbzK7gtlFAwb9VWz7U1hBYzqpjs_zpEwJRwEkxcUK1-jLWkOgrnC5LHRZC75-Y/s640/IMG_3779.JPG" width="476" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then took thick sheets of paper or thin sheet of cardboard which can bend you could say. Made 8 1" strips and stuck 2 each side and then stapled it all in a form of square</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgloJ4HhcMnvKD-eE9UU0VLpUMWIfae6k_YHglCmpPh28fZULE0fRV5wTIBgqbWbgHuSuAkmVY8Ol8j66vlS4QYuyP7fDaaUgBzBZNUU9OXexnbn9bvs5yb17860Z3CXZXqQzQ91MujSOo/s1600/IMG_3780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgloJ4HhcMnvKD-eE9UU0VLpUMWIfae6k_YHglCmpPh28fZULE0fRV5wTIBgqbWbgHuSuAkmVY8Ol8j66vlS4QYuyP7fDaaUgBzBZNUU9OXexnbn9bvs5yb17860Z3CXZXqQzQ91MujSOo/s640/IMG_3780.JPG" width="476" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: center;">After that I used crepe papers to cover the lantern.</span></div>

<div>
Do you like your carrots??</div>
<div>
Well I like them..but my son has a different take on it. The other day he saw them in his dinner. He asked me, " Mommy, Why you want carrots?"</div>
<div>
I said, "Carrots are good for health, You will become strong, you should eat them"</div>
<div>
for which he promtly required, "Mommy..I am not a Rabbit".</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
He has his sweet innocent reasons for everything. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The other day his friend pushed him. He came back complaining to me. So I told him that he also needs to push them if this continues and only then his friend will stop it eventually. He can't be quiet all the time. To which he replied, "Mommy, I am not *(his friends name)* to push and hit. I cannot do it. It's bad to hit ".</div>
<div>
Wow..So I realized that my 5 year old son is growing big to have an opinion of his own. Awesome!! I love his attitude.So even kids do have a mind and opinion of their own.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Coming to this recipe you are about to read. This recipe came up all of a sudden, I had this idea and thought why not try it. So I took out my camera and went clicking. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Procedure:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi3d5nRsVISsrI3b7fifM21pcAowaqtjL0bhB3TxJH4Sjb8lTW6bB35qyIM56AIudhkMHA-LefU_hskUvOV7rHGYYDBWwoLUaPeDxzFEdCLfrk6Ins21i9RT-nNVBoLoDB3WQi5POba3U/s1600/DSC_0126.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi3d5nRsVISsrI3b7fifM21pcAowaqtjL0bhB3TxJH4Sjb8lTW6bB35qyIM56AIudhkMHA-LefU_hskUvOV7rHGYYDBWwoLUaPeDxzFEdCLfrk6Ins21i9RT-nNVBoLoDB3WQi5POba3U/s1600/DSC_0126.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAwIgfNF0RDo48Il7kb3xiCYvsJRrQ9dwFykf8kummNGDxGotY8l6KlpqllejcbsvLSQZW8GOyLWEo0lnb3W6HgD74qZ9S7qj2TDEoUsuLRzbVryBILNY-Ad4gp1FbHmzDslCc8hc_PeI/s1600/DSC_0129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><br /></a></div>
<div>
Cut the Brinjal/Eggplant vertically like almost a quarter centimeter thick. Spread salt on it and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then take each eggplant , wash it/run it under water to remove all excess salt. Wipe it with towel to remove all extra moisture,Take a pan, roast it on both sides with few drops of oil until light brown or if u have a grill pan..better use it.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAwIgfNF0RDo48Il7kb3xiCYvsJRrQ9dwFykf8kummNGDxGotY8l6KlpqllejcbsvLSQZW8GOyLWEo0lnb3W6HgD74qZ9S7qj2TDEoUsuLRzbVryBILNY-Ad4gp1FbHmzDslCc8hc_PeI/s1600/DSC_0129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAwIgfNF0RDo48Il7kb3xiCYvsJRrQ9dwFykf8kummNGDxGotY8l6KlpqllejcbsvLSQZW8GOyLWEo0lnb3W6HgD74qZ9S7qj2TDEoUsuLRzbVryBILNY-Ad4gp1FbHmzDslCc8hc_PeI/s1600/DSC_0129.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Run the blanched tomatoes, carrots and all ingredients mentioned under gravy in a blender into a fine paste.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Take a pan, pour some oil/butter. When hot , add mustard seeds, fine paste, Turmeric powder, Cumin powder, salt, pinch of sugar.(Add a little red chilli powder if it's less spicy). Oscar Wilde said, "No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist"<br />
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
Oh ,What truth did this great man speak! Creativity needs an illusionistic and an experimental mind. A mind that can see beyond the regularities and similarities between the colossal things around us. Ahem, just like how you see a big fat chicken and imagine a dish of hot & steamy chicken tikka masala crossing the road..yeah..that's also the work of a ingenious brain. </div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
Everyone is creative in their own way. Small children are creative in ways that we adults cannot imagine. An unperturbed mind of a child is so full of ideas and imagination that it could lift a big barrel of water with its weight, shoot it in the crisp air and pour it down in its rainbow colors of rain even shying away the rain gods. Observe an ant, and you will see how creative it is in kidnapping those small droppings of food in the kitchen to its ant haven. </div>

O.K let's come to this.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
Getting natural elements into the interior of a house gives a splendid and earthly look.</div>

A swarm of tiny twigs with woolen Pom Poms<br />

Like empty vessels, they made noises. They cried, they cribbed, they vowed to denounce the greedy, mean and the selfish.<br />
<div>
But alas, what a shame! When it came the time to show off our power to dethrone the bad, they kicked up a fuss, they partied, they vacationed, they slept and they just forgot about it!</div>
<div>
This is the state of our country! </div>
<div>
Social responsibility is like the wrapper of a candy thrown on the streets in our country. Eat all the goodness our country has to offer and don't bother to clean up the wrapper when the time comes. </div>

Change can only come when people allow the good changes to come. </div>

Now all you have to do is fill the container with pebbles or sand, place the felt flowers in it. I also placed tiny store bought white flowers ( or make your own ) along with it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Voila done! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Now you can place it on your window sill like me or put it wherever , whatever place you want to adorn it with. </div>

It's like I am buying bananas just to watch them get a spotty sunburn this summer. So the very intelligent husband of mine gave me an idea, quote '' why don't you apply a sunscreen on it!! "<br />
<br />
Got the joke??<br />
<br />
Here's another one from my husband -<br />
On one of the lazy boring days I wanted my hubby to cheer me up with his really perky PJ's.<br />
Me: Please tell me a joke.<br />
Husband: Which one??<br />
:)<br />
<br />
Got the Joke?<br />
<br />
Yeah the second one was so funny , isn't it? I really had a good hearty laugh that day!<br />
<br />
Now listen to this joke from my 3 yr old son-<br />
Ankush, my son: Mommy, let's go to Legoland.<br />
Me: Legoland is too far. We cannot go there right now.<br />
Ankush: Let's go far!<br />
<br />
This so innocent thing made me feel so funny about it! So I ended up laughing so loudly. And then my cute little son got to know that he can make me laugh when he tells "Let's go far". And so now he keeps asking me daily about going to legoland or disneyland or India and then I tell him it's too far and then...the same - let's go far continues....every.....day!!! Kids you see..........!!<br />
<br />
Coming to the restaurant reviews:<br />
All the restaurants I am mentioning today are kid friendly restaurants<br />
<br />
Jason's Deli:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc6d3K5Q6yLEo621Q17bTkw29MAe94G_5bsynW1Kr7IzigqjYwYkLPPziyqbouCoyVrK1SzHBnszKqlYZ43WamxwJ-lFVBnE5snnXkJqNO_6-q3gOOjjamiMkLSuJckxc5Z5-V7gWxp7Y/s1600/New+Folder.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc6d3K5Q6yLEo621Q17bTkw29MAe94G_5bsynW1Kr7IzigqjYwYkLPPziyqbouCoyVrK1SzHBnszKqlYZ43WamxwJ-lFVBnE5snnXkJqNO_6-q3gOOjjamiMkLSuJckxc5Z5-V7gWxp7Y/s640/New+Folder.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This is one of the very vegetarian food friendly restaurant we found. There are quite a few dishes on the menu for us.<br />
Here's the link:<br />
<a href="http://www.jasonsdeli.com/system/files/private/menus/jasons_deli_vegetarian_menu_6.pdf">http://www.jasonsdeli.com/system/files/private/menus/jasons_deli_vegetarian_menu_6.pdf</a><br />
<br />
In the picture above we had ordered Zucchini Grillini Sandwich, Zucchini Garden pasta, Tomato Basil soup, mac and cheese for my son. Everything was tasty. I especially love their sandwiches. My son loved his mac and cheese. They also have a salad bar-all you can eat. Free ice cream. Good service. I rate it 4 out of 5 'coz of the wide vegetarian friendly menu they have.<br />
<br />
Red Robin Burgers:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhl4jGY0-lPFORhek_YWqdnHVAxqlyMvFkmEVva9RQYlcSHWhbx4vvi6Rz_iULJPU2H0nAuu-Iwt_EC7IxFDehqZbMY0-WZ5OGQwGNTSK5p97LyQXgbLHNxJHCk4E2Lm22HRPaDMxSnFi8/s1600/New+Folder1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhl4jGY0-lPFORhek_YWqdnHVAxqlyMvFkmEVva9RQYlcSHWhbx4vvi6Rz_iULJPU2H0nAuu-Iwt_EC7IxFDehqZbMY0-WZ5OGQwGNTSK5p97LyQXgbLHNxJHCk4E2Lm22HRPaDMxSnFi8/s640/New+Folder1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Only one garden burger is available on the menu. That is the only main dish available with few variety of sides. They also have a good menu for kids. Of course my son had his mac and cheese again. Their coleslaw and potato steak fries were yummy. Service was prompt. We especially liked their bottomless freckled berry lemonade. I also loved the interiors of the restaurant, all american feel. I would rate it 2.5 out of 5 only 'coz of the limited options. Hope they had more choices for us vegetarians. !<br />
<br />
Sweet Tomatoes:<br />
<br />
Don't have a picture of it. But before proceeding further I would rate it 4.5 out of 5? Why? 'coz my extremely picky eater son loves this place. I do not have a problem of him not eating his food whenever we visit this place. That is probably because of their wide variety of options to eat. It has a buffet system for their kaleidoscopic array of salads, vinaigrettes, soups, pastas, breads and desserts for us vegetarians. It's just so fun to keep getting this hotchpotch of food on the plate. I usually see all the kids getting excited with their plate. They also do have a theme every month. And few of their dishes keep changing along with the theme. So if you are a vegetarian and haven't visited this place, do visit it. Even our parents loved it when they visited US. Visit <a href="http://www.souplantation.com/">http://www.souplantation.com/</a> for details.<br />
<br />
Yeah, so that's about it for now.<br />
Have fun until next .<br />

I have always loved north karnataka food. My husband being from north karnataka ,helped me to explore their cuisine to a whole different dimension. Everytime I'm in my in-laws house, I enjoy the variety of flavours I get to taste. The main staple dish in north karnataka cuisine is Jowar/Sorghum flour roti. Making this roti is itself a talent which I don't seem to possess. It requires a lot of patience and practice to acquire the traditional art of flattening the roti with the palm.<br />
So I came up with this idea of making this roti after a few trial and errors. It's an easy way to learn for all beginners.<br />
Ingredients:<br />
Jowar flour, salt, hot hot water to mix the flour , wax sheets or any other non stick sheets.<br />
<br />
Procedure:<br />
Follow the four step video.(Sorry for the bad quality videos!)<br />
<br />
Step 1: Pour enough hot(water needs to be really hot) water slowly into the flour(mixed with salt to taste) mixing it until everything is moistened. I usually eyeball it and don't follow any measurements. Cover bowl with a lid.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dw776H-zPsIwoj4_UKW0a27XmhLq88NSDqQXAA4WxxVef_X7f_eoiBzGzvlqhXfX6NrpkXpmjanaD8qTvJEiw' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(Link on Youtube:<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mAhSDWUQtM" target="_blank"> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mAhSDWUQtM</a>)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 2: When flour is cool enough to touch but still hot, knead it properly like you would mix chapathi dough. Take a min or 2 to properly knead the dough. This step is important. Ofcourse I haven't covered the whole kneading process in the video.In this step you can add a little water if required. Cover it and leave it for 5 mins. In the meantime heat your pan(needs to be hot, keep the setting to more than medium heat) and get out your wax sheets.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dyxUu7Ndd2RNDZPdWvULeOh6c3NlzTJaszeJH8vwIyMMEUUjKjpjhksVYJMSLsKTKfiwsSRfzn4Gk6-2eaqIA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(Link on Youtube: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le33ZEicTK8" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le33ZEicTK8</a> )</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Step 3: Place a ball of dough between 2 sheets of wax paper having dusted it with wheat flour/jowar flour generously and lightly flattening it with your palms. Roll it with a rolling pin, dusting it after every few rolls and tossing it over and making sure it's not sticking to the paper. Dust flour if it feels sticky. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzxKrOb7zz6HEgwrAtLY90jFkR-5Z6er5SZPJLId6NkD7ENOX75eL7b4-5hseEnmsSuiFs9pm-QTUgd9KsFXg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;">(Link on Youtube: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csaaxBKc_20" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csaaxBKc_20</a></span><span style="text-align: center;"> )</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 4: Your pan must be now hot enough to make roti's. Place rolled dough on pan, take a paper towel/thin cloth dipped in water. Pat the roti with the wet towel. Once you see bubbles, flip it and pat it with wet towel again. Cook both sides until done.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Green Apple Tokku:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
This tokku is a green apple version of the yummy mango tokku my mom prepares.I really love the tangy flavor of this recipe. This recipe could also be done with raw mangoes.<br />
<br />
To all those who don't know what a tokku is- it's very similar to pickle but different . You can use it just like how you use a pickle and is also lasts for a few weeks.<br />
<br />
Ingredients:<br />
Oil<br />
Mustard - 2 tsp<br />
Green Apple - 4<br />
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp + 2 tsp<br />
Jaggery - around half a cup<br />
salt<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNXjBdWqHmugOd1X_uEqbjndRk90YMUxsk0naggvk89SBrzvDWTNpW2LQ5NhfK1G4xK1tF_aKdhB9mCiZjPNZgUXxECQFdfvvECGFEJjPGoiSThVB7Trq3z6iy0M9Npo496h73XLQTIsk/s1600/blog8+(2).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNXjBdWqHmugOd1X_uEqbjndRk90YMUxsk0naggvk89SBrzvDWTNpW2LQ5NhfK1G4xK1tF_aKdhB9mCiZjPNZgUXxECQFdfvvECGFEJjPGoiSThVB7Trq3z6iy0M9Npo496h73XLQTIsk/s640/blog8+(2).jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Procedure:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Grate the green apple. You can leave the skin on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Heat oil in a pan. Oil needs to be a little more than normally necessary. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When oil heats up, add mustard seeds.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When mustard seeds crackle, add grated apple and saute it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When half cooked add chilli powder, jaggery, salt. Keep sauteing it until properly cooked and excess oil left out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Store in an airtight bottle. Can be kept in refrigerator to make it last really long. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Note: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*Adjust salt, chilli powder and jaggery according to your taste and preferences.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*If excess oil doesn't ooze out, it means the oil was less. Do not fret. Just saute it until properly cooked.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Enjoy it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Until next time, Chao!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

2 proverbs I totally believe in:<br />
<br />
1) Tiny drops of water combine to make a mighty ocean<br />
<br />
I so much believe in this one and truly have implemented in our lives whether it's saving money, water or learning, giving..almost in every aspect of our lives. And it has truly helped me.<br />
<br />
2) Only stretch your leg so much that the mat allows you to. (This one is a literal translation of the kannada proverb "chapey iddashtu kaalu chachu")<br />
<br />
I believe we should live our lives knowing our limitations to stretch our luxury/materialistic needs. Luxury should only be so much as to keep ourselves happy but not to do it to create an impression to others or in common terms -'Do Showoff'. !!<br />
<br />
Coming to the topic refasioned. I refashioned few of my old jeans. Jeans could be easily turned into a skirt(among others ) , that too in different patterns. All you need is a sewing machine and of course sewing skills(Intermediate sewing skills are more than enough to do these). I you don't have any of the one, always look for a good tailor who can do it for you. But it's worth trying it with your old jeans rather than thrashing it.<br />
<br />
Here are quick few looks of my refashioned jeans.<br />
<br />
This particular one has a jeans turned into a skirt and have given a bottom frill with my old salwar.<br />

With this one, I turned the jean pant to a skirt with a different pattern and combining it with crochet patterns.I hand sew the crochet onto the skirt .</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In this one I turned my jeans and an old kurti top(which I got bored of wearing and whose material was still good ) into a new top/blouse. You can use jeans as frill also.</div>

<br />
Old jeans could also be used to make wallets, kids dress, hand purse and many things more.<br />
Check out my another skirt with jeans <a href="http://ashwinivanmali.blogspot.com/2012/09/refashioned.html" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<br />
A Reuse Tip:<br />
While presenting gifts to others in a gift bag, it will be helpful if you write the name or wishes on a small card rather than writing it on the bag itself. This way the person who receives the gift can reuse the gift bag by just removing the card safely without damaging the bag. Don't you think so?<br />
<br />
Hope these tips help you and encourage you to reuse items at home.<br />
<br />
Have fun until next post.<br />

Me and my friend were travelling in the bus back home. We just felt like being a little naughty that day. Don't remember whose silly idea was it but we removed our water bottles from our bags.<br />
<br />
No, we did not drink the water, neither used it to clean our seats nor did we use it to clean the bus.<br />
Ok, why would we clean the bus?? Never mind. Lets move on.<br />
<br />
We then did the inevitable !! Yes.<br />
<br />
We sprayed the water on people passing by next to our moving bus! People on scooter, pedestrians, cycle..etc. We could see that the people were getting pissed but by the time they could react the bus moved forward. Most of them had no idea from where the water came from on that summer evening. But after a few minutes of our indulgence in fun and frolic of menacing all the oblivious people, the whole act came to a crashing end.<br />
<br />
No, we still had water left in our bottles , enough to piss off probably a few more.<br />
<br />
Two of the very infuriated passerbys on a scootor ,overtook our bus, stopped it, got into the bus , explained to our driver what had happened. I had never been so scared in my life before. I thought we were gonna be spending the rest of our lives in jail. They then started their investigation. They scanned each face on the bus but to our good fortune he couldn't recognize the poker face that we had. Neither did the back benchers in the bus who knew of our silly act admitted it.<br />
<br />
They then walked away after shouting a mouthful of warnings! But we swore to ourselves we would never , ever, ever again do it .<br />
<br />
Moral of the story:<br />
Never Ever throw water on passers by from a school bus when you are in 3rd grade:))<br />
<br />
Yes, it happened when I was in 3rd grade.That's probably the naughtiest thing I've ever did when I was in my primary school! That was the last for a few more years!<br />
<br />
<br />
So coming to these refrigerator/fridge magnets.<br />
<br />

Note:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
* Use waste papers to do this project on as it is messy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*Preferably buy magnets which as some kind of adhesive to stick it on. The adhesive side sticks to the clay.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
* Amount of clay used should be small, check if the magnet can hold the weight of clay once you place the magnet on the clay. You can resize it but do it before you let it to dry.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
* The magnet should be sealed properly after placing it on the clay, so that it holds the clay together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*You can make different designs like you can see in the last pic! Use your own creativity. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
* I used air dry clay, but you could also try this project with other kinds of clay.</div>

"Bye Chanadal brown rice quinoa dosa. Buh Byeee"<br />
<br />
What am I saying?<br />
<br />
Ok! Actually my boy has this habit of saying bye to everything. For example when we go for a walk , he says "Bye tree" , "Bye car" , "bye shadow" (after we pass the shadow of a tree) and so on and on and on...<br />
<br />
The other day , I mean really long back other day, we went out and sat for sometime, and after a while ,I said to my son, "Common, let's walk now". So my cutie pie gets up, looks at the place he had been sitting and he says "Bye sit, buh byeee" !<br />
<br />
The other day, the recent other say, he went under the table and he was playing there. And then I called him to come out to have dinner, then he comes out and he says "Bye under the table". :)) He He He ..Isn't that so funny. God my son's a small clown who keeps us laughing on our toes with his cute little interpretations of his world.<br />
<br />
I guess the world in the eyes of a kid is ..........I don't know. I really don't know. It's difficult to explain.<br />
<br />
So coming to this recipe.<br />
<br />
Ingredients:<br />
Chanadal- 1 cup<br />
Brown rice- 1/2 cup<br />
Quinoa- 1/2 cup<br />
Methi seeds- 1 teaspoon<br />
<br />
For topping:<br />
Veggies of your choice chopped finely. I used cabbage ,yellow pepper and corn.<br />
You could even use spring onions/carrots/green pepper/cauliflower.<br />
<br />
Wash and soak all the ingredients for approx 8 hrs or overnight. Grind it in a blender adding water and make it like any other normal dosa consistency. No fermentation is necessary.<br />
Pour a ladle of batter on a tava which is on medium high, spread veggies on it and lightly press it with a spatula.<br />
Spread a spoon of oil on it, close it with a lid. When it is lightly browned underneath flip it, keep it for few seconds and then remove, serve it with chutney of your choice.<br />
We had this with <a href="http://www.ashwinivanmali.blogspot.com/2012/06/tomato-and-herb-chutney-indian-style.html" target="_blank">tomato chutney</a> and it tastes better with this than coconut chutney.<br />
<br />

Guess What ??<br />

..<br />
<br />
Yeah...You're right!!<br />
<br />
My baby got his first homework!!!<br />
Wait..How did u know that?<br />
Did I somehow give it away :(<br />
Hmm...<br />
Wonder How!<br />
<br />
Anyway..here it is!<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTkT3Fq8Zc-JOMKRyjBRp7UxyRNdbTBMKPtuFzyLZHO_X32YhqvxXv0tuur6xoeVU6VP4vdWw5fKx_id7OMvW_aSzitTPqtQ4vEg36lXMNUdHJ917A9CaCuVGEft3zh7EvkYRCk39H9iY/s1600/photo+(1).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTkT3Fq8Zc-JOMKRyjBRp7UxyRNdbTBMKPtuFzyLZHO_X32YhqvxXv0tuur6xoeVU6VP4vdWw5fKx_id7OMvW_aSzitTPqtQ4vEg36lXMNUdHJ917A9CaCuVGEft3zh7EvkYRCk39H9iY/s640/photo+(1).JPG" width="456" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I do not know why both of us got so excited looking at his homework. That's the magic the kids have on their parents. Every small thing they do or say ,gets the parents stand on their toes.<br />
<br />
And the magic continues...<br />
<br />
<br />

Its's so disturbing to read the news. I'm so sure everyone has this on their mind after the delhi gang rape took place. Every now and then , the media sensationalizes a murder or a scam or any violence crime cases. Not that they are not worthy of getting sensationalized.<br />
<br />
But according to statistics, a woman is raped every 20 mins and our country India is the 3rd worst offender in rape. So imagine the no. of cases that go unnoticed, that goes unreported. Just becoz' this delhi case has got so much of media attention, there are so many people coming forward to report their's. Every day we see new reports of rape, so it doesn't mean, "Oh! people still dnt have a heart, one more case today!!". There are number of cases happening everyday. And still there will be happening.<br />
<br />
I do not understand why do we have to blame the politicians soo much. Are they the one who are raping woman? I dn't mean to say they are not to be blamed, but the real one's to be blamed are our society. The society that we have created. Blame your own kids, blame your own neighbourhood. How many woman in your neighborhood get eve-tease, groped? How many men do you see following young women from their colleges or work places to their homes? How many men engage in verbally abusing girls and women on the roadsides for just fun? How many of us didn't face problem while traveling on public transport, let alone while walking in a crowded place? If the basic foundation itself is not good,these rape cases will not stop just by bringing stringent laws!<br />
<br />
We need to teach our kids good morals, good behavior, discipline. keep all our ego's in check.Teach our fellow men to respect women. I dn't mean to blame all men. But there are so many out there to be blamed. Take just in colleges, how many girls get eve teased or bullied? All these behavior in men becomes strong later on where they commit such crimes easily. Forget rape, what about dowry deaths, female foetacide, which happens even in educated families? All these things happen 'coz of the general attitude of society towards women.<br />
<br />
Like our president mentioned in her speech, the whole attitude of society needs to be changed! one person on TV mentioned "charity begins at home" , yes true, teach kids the right morals.<br />
<br />
I have a 3 year old son at home, I pledge today to teach him the right morals as best to my abilities.<br />
Let all men respect women and so should all women respect men. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

Amidst of all the heartbreak and anguish over incidents in Connecticut or Delhi or in many other places that go amiss, with the end of the world conspiracies rising high , take your time and have all these victims in our prayers. That is the only thing we can all possibly do at this point of time.<br />
Hope there was less negative things going around. Looks like the world has already end, what more can it end?<br />
<br />
Let's all do many as good things as possible to counterfeit the bad things.<br />
<br />
And wishing you all Merry Christmas from my family to yours.<br />

It was our 6 year wedding anniversary early december and we went off to Bahama Breeze to celebrate with their caribbean cuisine.<br />
Well being a vegetarian, there was hardly any dish to exemplify the caribbean cuisine.<br />
To start off we had Lemonade with sugarcane juice, which was actually good and refreshing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC3y65DKCZ45vPy2ESJdMCgRdS5NSmlIuv8i_KDXkVovE-m7tIwEv2mw7vB66N4NEh4huhBG8EDtoWhFxxOKNa5fWOd79XiJZv6qogIlJpj2COTNDVCiEsjJWTbEaoVI-EfyXYZ51qi94/s1600/photo+(5).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC3y65DKCZ45vPy2ESJdMCgRdS5NSmlIuv8i_KDXkVovE-m7tIwEv2mw7vB66N4NEh4huhBG8EDtoWhFxxOKNa5fWOd79XiJZv6qogIlJpj2COTNDVCiEsjJWTbEaoVI-EfyXYZ51qi94/s640/photo+(5).JPG" width="478" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For Appetizers, we ordered Pita crackers with hummus. It tasted pretty good. My extremely picky eater son liked those crackers. There were few more vegetarian appetizers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the main course: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I must say I was a bit disappointed with their choices in main course for vegetarians. There were in total just 3 dishes. We ordered this rice bowl which had a very distinct chinese taste to it. Im not a big fan of chinese especially american-chinese, Indo-chinese may be. So this dish was so-so to me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The next main dish was Veggie Quesedillas. This dish was perfectly done. Their salsa was also good.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Coming for the best part. The Dessert. I do not have a sweet tooth guys, but this dessert bags the award. It's their pineapple upside down cake with raspberry sauce. It was one of the best dessert I've ever tasted in my life. You have to try it if you have Bahama breeze in your town.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I would rate my overall experience based on food, hospitality ,cleanliness as 2.5 out of 5. Just 'coz they did not have good veggie dishes but they do have a good seafood variety if you love them. </div>

We had a fun Halloween day yesterday. It was the first time we were actually part of the celebration. I was absolutely flabbergasted the first time I saw the halloween day. Everyone would be out in the streets / malls in their own costumes, doing their trick-or-treat thing. We would see someone wearing these costumes in India only on fancy dress competitions in our schools whereas here in US , everyone participate flaunting their costumes from day to night which is kinda fun to watch.<br />
<br />
I made an owl costume for my son. I would say it's more a basic idea how to do an owl costume. My 2 yr old son is extremely fussy about wearing any accessory whether on head or like a chain or anything. So I wanted to keep it as simple as possible and hence did this basic idea of an owl. This costume could be improvised in many ways to fit your child's needs and look. <br />
<br />
Materials needed:<br />
<br />
Sewing Machine<br />
Thread<br />
Cloth Materials to stitch the owl(I reused all my son's old clothes in this project. It would be nice to actually find some fur materials)<br />
Scissors<br />
Glue<br />
<br />
Procedure:<br />
<br />
This costume is simple in means of wearing it. Simply stitch the pattern on a pant and a t-shirt and wear it directly without any hassle. I used my son's old pajama and t shirt. The pant has the lower portion of an owl, the t-shirt has the head of an owl.<br />
<br />
Lay the pant on any piece of material the pattern could be stitched on.Draw an outline of the pant, cut it like shown in this below pic. We need 2 such pieces. Lets name this piece as AF (front piece) and AB (behind piece).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrbVjhXQKCpckFY0k7eJex7njvixMqkZQGlhn9gBh5DsHqPMrjQhNvg_HD080pPPvSUuMDI8nXoVWOKyXV6fcYMu0JJDqtbE-egnkldDiQGwybSPC2kK93JWPvttYEmuBlpAEA3W6OqvE/s1600/DSC_0087+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrbVjhXQKCpckFY0k7eJex7njvixMqkZQGlhn9gBh5DsHqPMrjQhNvg_HD080pPPvSUuMDI8nXoVWOKyXV6fcYMu0JJDqtbE-egnkldDiQGwybSPC2kK93JWPvttYEmuBlpAEA3W6OqvE/s1600/DSC_0087+(2).JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next cut out feather looking pieces like this from preferably white material. Use fur if available. We might need enough to cover the piece we cut earlier.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizw_UDyF09in1BMW4wnV1OtVO4c7rFPszoUV9KPwwDZWUecWQSobSUfRui84eBZUARsmmDXFo37xirGzmatI594o6MBTXKuO-Zmnfu_H6enOpL9pZUlakdN4_x2i3DpIiQHlfo1iTYsn4/s1600/DSC_0088.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizw_UDyF09in1BMW4wnV1OtVO4c7rFPszoUV9KPwwDZWUecWQSobSUfRui84eBZUARsmmDXFo37xirGzmatI594o6MBTXKuO-Zmnfu_H6enOpL9pZUlakdN4_x2i3DpIiQHlfo1iTYsn4/s640/DSC_0088.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Starting from bottom of AF , arrange the feather pieces side by side and stitch using a sewing machine onto AF. Go from bottom to up until the whole AF is covered.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Coming to the wings. Cut 2 pieces like the one in the right side of the pic.Cut out long feather like pieces from shades of brown like this pic. </div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRejWxD48BqJj5uMsoBfaTBvTTNA-aUxTTuXhmNJ6sDIX3_Zpet3inJN5NKvgLJ2x6S9Laylsn2Rd1V6t8ZrHDGS0nPz9D7jfoK5OJCMxbj1OddfYymtQo2gsN0TWQjw5aTXBQMCk48Ko/s1600/DSC_0122.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRejWxD48BqJj5uMsoBfaTBvTTNA-aUxTTuXhmNJ6sDIX3_Zpet3inJN5NKvgLJ2x6S9Laylsn2Rd1V6t8ZrHDGS0nPz9D7jfoK5OJCMxbj1OddfYymtQo2gsN0TWQjw5aTXBQMCk48Ko/s320/DSC_0122.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
You could use 2 methods here. One secure all feathers onto the wing using pins like this and stitch under a machine. Run lines on it . Second, just glue everything together to form 2 wings like this below.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz0oiMtNk6ZnpPfRDF1JvTVVC8B8ZkU0iowTJ1NpZB-xNjxPI88B_cWAQIZPgqXeRQC8cOKwIGtPNWpBh70JZ9mWZ5rNbb8mstzIIas91Hmh_zudWFXFAer3RGJuk_uQbB-IIfMLI8ifk/s1600/DSC_0145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz0oiMtNk6ZnpPfRDF1JvTVVC8B8ZkU0iowTJ1NpZB-xNjxPI88B_cWAQIZPgqXeRQC8cOKwIGtPNWpBh70JZ9mWZ5rNbb8mstzIIas91Hmh_zudWFXFAer3RGJuk_uQbB-IIfMLI8ifk/s640/DSC_0145.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
Place the wings on AF, place under a machine and stitch along yellow lines.It's optional to stitch the whole length. Stitch half way and it gives a different look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhORaewYFClJKiMs2rqwIIf2isSr81zvq1_mQxJfnCwV9PMXKvAlRuIsAESedGFxiBAC6U3oWORGlodNtM0G3eVcbRqepIKb2Jcc8ZpifZ1o1UOOTYfv_8xU3gVAjmQlGjc7RHVdf4QqBk/s1600/DSC_0149.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhORaewYFClJKiMs2rqwIIf2isSr81zvq1_mQxJfnCwV9PMXKvAlRuIsAESedGFxiBAC6U3oWORGlodNtM0G3eVcbRqepIKb2Jcc8ZpifZ1o1UOOTYfv_8xU3gVAjmQlGjc7RHVdf4QqBk/s1600/DSC_0149.JPG" /> <span style="color: black;"> </span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
For AB, I covered the major portion with light brown and stitch dark brown feather pieces around it.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3g-pBf3Vev3gs5UpF4OdTApeyLm9PghyphenhyphenHL2xnqYlaSc947exdGvvQV77_rk1ayqNXOIaXPXKE0vKCU3fG5WPGUcFQGsKP1i4Bcu5LwFUPIrumNs11qoo9nfnm1iZFfRnaSkn_XSSYV1Y/s1600/blog6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3g-pBf3Vev3gs5UpF4OdTApeyLm9PghyphenhyphenHL2xnqYlaSc947exdGvvQV77_rk1ayqNXOIaXPXKE0vKCU3fG5WPGUcFQGsKP1i4Bcu5LwFUPIrumNs11qoo9nfnm1iZFfRnaSkn_XSSYV1Y/s640/blog6.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
Place AB and AF on 2 sides of the pant, stitch each on top joining the pant, then stitch AB and AF together half way through.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the head portion of owl, Cut yellow/orange piece to cover the middle portion of t-shirt in the shape as shown and 2 big circles of black for the eyes and place and glue everything together. </div>

<br />
The another dish we ordered was Ole Ole(Vegetarian Spanish Omlette) Sandwich.<br />
It comes with a side of nachos, pico de gallo and a different kind of a dipping sauce.<br />
I had never tasted such a kind of sandwich earlier. It had potatoes and caramalized onions, arugula and spanish omlette. It was lip smacking. Well this dish isn't strictly vegetarian. It for those egg eating vegetarians like us:)<br />

<br />
For my son we ordered Kids menu which had rice, black beans, cheese quesedilla. My son loved the quesedilla.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
There is also a salsa bar where the gamut of salsa's and dippings tingles your food senses. We have options of tacos, burritos, enchilladas , salads, soups which could all be custom made for vegetarians. They have a seperate brunch menu other than the lunch menu. Kids also have their menu.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The decor is very urban, pop. Don't miss this restaurant next time you think of eating out. It's located in the whole foods market campus for those in pembroke pines area, FL. All dishes we brought were under 10$. Genuinely priced. Service was good. <a href="http://salsafiestagrill.com/">http://salsafiestagrill.com/</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Would I visit this again? Yes, I would definately. Again and Again:)</div>

Had been here for my b'day with friends. This extravagant looking restaurant does have few vegetarian dishes. A seperate brunch menu is also available. </span><br />

So I do not exactly remember this particular salad, but it was ofcourse vegetarian and of course it was very tasty.</span><br />

For the appetizer we had ordered Roasted Red Pepper and fresh Mozarella Brushetta. It was the first time I tasted this particular bruschetta and I wasn't disappointed. It has very distinct taste because of the drizzle of balsamic vinegar.</div>
And Oops! Sorry for the bad pictures. The phone, you know. The Night , you know. :(<br />

For the main course, we had ordered Ravioli di bello. This dish is very similar to the ravioli portbello available in Olive garden restaurant. It tasted good, creamy.<br />

There is also a kids menu. Apart from these they also have few more dishes in the appetizer section and one another main dish called eggplant Pomodoro. Prices are ok! Not too heavily priced neither too cheap. The 2 times I have visited I surely had issues with their service. May be b'coz it's always crowded. We had to wait and wait for ofcourse the waitors but not for the food. It's ok to visit this once in a while. Would I visit this again? Yes, I would definately.</div>
